Brett Wood is an Australian landscape photographer with a passion for capturing the natural beauty of Australia, New Zealand, and destinations around the world. His work is driven by a lifelong love of nature, adventure, and the outdoors.

Originally from Wagga Wagga in New South Wales, Brett now lives on the NSW South Coast with his partner Lisa and their dog, Twizel. Lisa works alongside him, and together they lead landscape photography workshops across Australia and New Zealand.

Brett divides his time between Australia and New Zealand’s South Island. Having lived in New Zealand and spent more than 20 years exploring and photographing its landscapes, he often refers to it as his “spiritual home.” New Zealand photography workshops have become one of his specialties.

Known for his relaxed and approachable teaching style, Brett enjoys helping photographers develop their skills and create images they are proud of. His photographic philosophy focuses on authenticity, aiming to capture landscapes as they appeared in the moment.

Brett is available worldwide for photography-related projects and is a proud ambassador for NiSi Filters Australia & New Zealand, Summit Creative Camera Backpacks, and LeoFoto Tripods.

His work has earned numerous awards in major international photography competitions.

At the 2025 New York Photography Awards (Professional Categories), Brett received a total of 11 Gold Awards and 13 Silver Awards. His success continued at the 2026 Muse Photography Awards (Professional Categories), where he earned 11 Platinum Awards and 2 Gold Awards.

Among his award-winning photographs is Rupini Dawn, which was recognized with 3 Platinum Awards at the 2026 Muse Photography Awards.

Tutorial

Fabulous Photos in Fifteen Minutes is a professionally produced editing tutorial designed for photographers looking for a straightforward workflow that delivers strong results without requiring hours of post-processing.

Developed in response to feedback from Brett’s photography workshop participants, the tutorial focuses on a practical editing method that is easy to learn, efficient to apply, and capable of producing polished, professional-quality images.

The video includes two complete start-to-finish image edits, demonstrating the entire workflow using Adobe Camera RAW, Photoshop, and the TK Actions Panel plugin. Photographers who prefer Lightroom can follow the same process using Lightroom in place of Camera RAW, and while the TK Actions Panel is recommended, it is not essential for completing the tutorial.

Throughout the 1 hour and 39 minute presentation, Brett explains each step of the editing process, showing how he transforms raw captures into finished photographs using a repeatable workflow. The tutorial also includes guidance on preparing and saving files for printing, websites, and social media.
