Description
William Patino is a New Zealand–based landscape photographer and local guide living in Te Anau on the South Island. Originally from Wollongong, Australia, he discovered photography in 2012 — a turning point that completely changed the way he sees and experiences the world.
Since 2014, Will has worked full time as a landscape photographer, leading international workshops and photo tours while collaborating with selected brands and clients. His work is deeply connected to wilderness, light, and the atmosphere of remote natural environments. Rather than focusing only on creating visually striking images, he aims to capture the emotion and feeling of being present in nature.
Today, Will is recognised internationally as an award-winning landscape photographer whose work has been featured in galleries and publications around the world. Through years of experience photographing wild landscapes, he developed the Four Pillars Method™ — a practical approach designed to help photographers improve their landscape photography skills in a clear and structured way. Thousands of students have already used his teaching methods to strengthen their creative process and produce images they are genuinely proud of.
