Description
Join New Zealand landscape photographer Richard Hume for a six-day small-group photography tour through Fiordland and the Catlins in the South Island of New Zealand.
Based initially in Te Anau, the tour explores some of Fiordland's most dramatic landscapes, with photographic opportunities around Milford Sound, the Eglinton Valley and other locations selected according to the conditions and available light. The itinerary includes time to photograph Milford Sound around sunrise and sunset, along with a day trip into Doubtful Sound.
The tour then travels south to the Catlins, where the focus shifts to rugged coastline, native forest and waterfalls. Locations include Nugget Point and selected areas of the Catlins Forest Park, with the itinerary remaining flexible to make the most of weather and photographic conditions.
Richard has more than 25 years' experience photographing New Zealand landscapes and provides practical, individual tuition throughout the tour. The emphasis is on composition, understanding light, using filters and developing a considered approach to landscape photography rather than simply visiting a fixed list of viewpoints.
The tour is suitable for photographers of different experience levels using DSLR or mirrorless cameras, from beginners through to more experienced photographers. Group numbers are kept small, allowing plenty of time for individual assistance in the field.
Accommodation in your own room and transport during the tour are included.
